About the Project

Go-Velo is an online bike rental platform designed to connect bike owners with renters, creating a convenient and reliable marketplace for bicycles and bike parts. Bike owners can set up shops, list their bikes and accessories for rent, and manage bookings seamlessly. Renters can browse available bikes, compare options, and book rentals quickly, making it easy to access bicycles and parts without long-term commitments. The platform promotes accessibility, flexibility, and community-based sharing for cycling enthusiasts.

Requirements

The project required a secure and scalable platform capable of managing multiple user types, including bike owners and renters. Features needed included shop creation, product listing management, rental booking, payment integration, and real-time availability tracking. The system also had to provide user profiles, reviews and ratings, notifications, and a responsive interface to ensure smooth interactions on both desktop and mobile devices.

Solutions

To meet these requirements, a modular platform architecture was implemented to support shop management, product listings, and rental bookings. The interface allows bike owners to list bikes and parts easily while renters can search, filter, and book items with convenience. Integrated payment systems and notifications ensure smooth transactions and timely updates. Ratings and review features were included to build trust and encourage community engagement. The platform was optimized for performance and responsiveness, providing a seamless experience across devices.

Design System

The design system emphasizes clarity, usability, and consistency. Components for shop dashboards, product listings, booking flows, and notifications were standardized to ensure a cohesive experience. Clean typography, structured layouts, and intuitive navigation allow users to quickly find bikes, manage rentals, and access important information effortlessly.
